Only 2 minutes walk from our Elysian Villa, a kunefeci has recently opened serving delicious hot fresh made to order kunefe! This dessert has become our favorite since stumbling across it in istanbul, and seeing the care and attention this chef gave to each serve we knew this was going to be special, and it was! Small details like a bottle of water and small glass of milk accompanying the dessert showed next level care and service. For the curious and uninitiated, kunefe is a delicious desert made from Tel Kadayif (fine shredded phyllo dough), fresh unsalted stretchy cows milk cheese, butter, sugar syrup and ground pistachios. Magic!
